Marne-la-Vallée developing low carbon mobility solutions

Champs-sur-Marne, the Paris-Vallée de la Marne conurbation, EPAMARNE, Linkcity lie-de-France, Bouygues Energies & Services, RATP, EMBIX, Enedis, ldex and Capgemini are joining forces to develop Descartes 21, an “Industrial Demonstrator for the Sustainable City” approved project.

The prospects offered by linking the Noisy-Champs RER station to the GPE (Grand Paris Express), foreshadow integrated, complementary mobility solutions that encourage the use of public transport, including for people living in less densely populated areas.

A global platform of services promoting the use of sustainable transport modes: underground, RER (rapid-transit rail network), train, bus, bicycle, car-sharing and potentially demand-responsive transport, autonomous shuttles, etc.
