Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a test area for sustainable, innovative transport
passengers per hour
Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Supraways are engaged in a joint study of the implementation of a new mode of public transport. This start-up’s revolutionary technology involves developing autonomous, electric, hanging shuttles. Programmable from a control centre or by passengers themselves, these shuttles with a capacity of 6 people, will travel on a light aerial infrastructure, only stopping at chosen destinations. The system will allow 7,200 passengers to be transported every hour, at an average speed of 50 km/h in urban environments, for a cost 2 or 3 times lower than a tram travelling at, on average, 18km/h.
